Heavy breathing.
A young man, not yet fully grown, lay writhing in a large, plush bed surrounded by a gaggle of people with varying emotions displayed on each of their faces. Some of of them were tending to him: changing the wet towel on his forehead, massaging his sore areas, and trying to spoon feed him an array of different tonics and medicines in hopes of one of them taking effect.
"Please, young master…just a little longer!"
Others stood on standby looking on with pensive expressions with no idea as to how to react. For months now this idea had been lingering in the corner of everyone's mind, and yet none of them dared utter a single thought on the matter. Now, everyone in the room's thoughts were centered on the exact same subject; this young man was about to die.
"Siara..come here."
Breathing in deeply the long haired young man reached his hand out to a nurse with auburn hair. Hurrying to his side, she knelt down at his bedside and to his hand.
"Closer.."
A strained, anxious expression displayed across her face as she bent her head down towards her master’s.
"Heh..the weather here has been horrible these days..you should go on a trip, after this is done with. Ah..and..take Arthur with you..he loves the sun, you know.."
"M-Master? What are you talking about? We'll all go together, just-"
"No."
Large darkened shadows had grown beneath Apollon's eyes. As he spoke, a bit of blood dripped out of the corner of his mouth.
"-we won't."
For one final time, the young man smiled the smile he was so well known for, and then closed his eyes.
"You're all here for a second chance. Take a look around and maybe get to know your fellow players before we start."
For whatever reason, however, it seemed as though he would not be allowed to rest eternally quite yet. As if interrupting his decent into slumber, or possibly the start of a rather vivid dream, the voice of a man rung clearly off the walls of a room completely different from the one Apollon had just been in. Not realizing when the switch had occurred, he found himself sitting in a classroom desk in the midst of the strangest class he'd ever seen.
