| Here's just a list of chat games that's mostly commonly played in the AIM chats that we usually have each day. If you'd like to participate in one of these games and have an AIM account, then notify us and we'll invite you to future chats or at least whenever games are being held in the chat. -Kira vs L- - Spoiler:
Rules
Recommended Number of Players: 5 or more. This game is also usually played in an AIM chat room for convenience.
The premise of this game is based off of the party game 'Mafia' but with a Death Note-themed situation thrown in. Anyone who has either played Mafia or the first Death Note DS game (The game has heavy Japanese text, so it'll be harder if you can't read) will likely already know about the rules.
Basic Roles: GM (All Modes) - The organizer of the game, keeps everything in order, may be fairly experienced with playing since they should be familiar with the rules. Kira (All Modes) - A murderer who kills by the use of the 'Death Note'. Is the primary antagonist in this game. 2nd / 3rd Kira (Judgment Mode) - A user of the Death Note, usually collaborates with other users to determine a strategy. L (Traditional / Detective Mode) - An ace detective who strives to find Kira and bring him to justice. The game's primary protagonist. Ryuuzaki (Judgment Mode) - A shady individual whose motive is to search for and catch Kira. Has the ability to manipulate certain votes and investigate. Shinigami Eye User (Judgment Mode) - A person who was born with the eyes of a Shinigami and able to see someone's special title. Cannot be a Kira or Ryuuzaki. Police (All Modes) - Remaining players who search for Kira and decide on a majority before catching Kira. More roles to come as more modes are added.

Game Modes:
Before starting any game, be sure to specify what mode is being played. Otherwise, the default mode is the Traditional Mode.
Traditional Mode: - Default game style, since it was the original set of rules.
Characters: GM (1) - The organizer of the game, keeps everything in order, may be fairly experienced with playing since they should be familiar with the rules. Kira (1) - A murderer who kills by the use of the 'Death Note'. Is the primary antagonist in this game. L (1) - An ace detective who strives to find Kira and bring him to justice. The game's primary protagonist. Police - The remaining players who search for Kira and decide on a majority before catching Kira.
- The GM of the game will first start by randomly choosing two players (usually in an empty chat room). One player will be selected to be Kira and another to be L. - The GM will start by having a set order of the players in the game. - Based on the order, each player will take turns asking another person a question, preferably if it can be answered by Yes or No. The person who is asked does not necessarily have to answer truthfully. - After everyone has asked a question, the players will then vote on who they believe Kira is. Everyone (including Kira and L themselves) will IM the GM with their suspicion. Kira's vote is typically used to attract suspicion to someone else. - After voting, the GM will announce who L believes is Kira, and the votes will anonymously be posted in the chat. If there is a majority of votes towards one person and L also suspects that player, then the suspected player is removed from the game and the GM will note whether that was Kira or not. Otherwise, nothing happens. - If Kira was not caught, then Kira gets to decide who to remove from the game. Kira will choose whether or not to kill a player and will IM the GM with their choice and an optional method of death. The selected player will be eliminated and the GM will note whether that person was L or not. - Process repeats itself until Kira is caught or L is killed. If the 2 remaining players are Kira AND L, then a dice roll decides the winner.

Detective Mode: - Special game style, allows L to become a judge and determine whether the most suspected individual is Kira or not. - Slightly more balanced for L to rule out suspected people.

Judgment Mode: - Special game style. Kira must trick the police into accusing each other to finally prevail over the world. - Good when the number of players in total is initially low. - Ryuuzaki has been added as a character! However, Ryuuzaki's death does not result in Kira winning.
Characters: GM (1) - The organizer of the game, keeps everything in order, may be fairly experienced with playing since they should be familiar with the rules. Kira (1, 2 if 6-8 players, 3 if 9+ players) - Users of the Death Note, usually collaborates with other users to determine a strategy. Ryuuzaki (1 if 5+ people) - A shady individual whose motive is to search for and catch Kira. Has the ability to manipulate certain votes and investigate. Shinigami Eye User (1 if 7+ people) - A person who was born with the eyes of a Shinigami and able to see someone's special title. Cannot be a Kira or Ryuuzaki. Police - The remaining players who search for Kira and decide on a majority before catching Kira. They do not require a higher-up's command to imprison suspects.
- The GM of the game will first start by randomly choosing a player(s) (usually in an empty chat room) to be Kira. If the number of total players is 6 or more, then a Second Kira is chosen. If the number of total players is 9 or more, then a Third Kira is chosen. - If there is more than 1 Kira, then the players will be notified of that. Also, the players who were chosen as Kira will also be brought to a second chat room for strategy discussion throughout the game. - The GM will start by having a set order of the players in the game. - Based on the order, each player will take turns asking another person a question, preferably if it can be answered by Yes or No. The person who is asked does not necessarily have to answer truthfully. - After everyone has asked a question, the players will then vote on who they believe is Kira in the chat room. - Whoever that may have been picked as the majority will be allowed to defend themselves by being asked a few questions. Finally, everyone will vote again on who they believe is Kira, this time by IMing the GM. If there is a majority of players who believe that someone is Kira, then that player will be eliminated and the GM will note whether that person was Kira or not. - If there is a Ryuuzaki in the game, then they may select one player who they suspect of being Kira and manipulate their vote. In order to successfully manipulate a target's vote and change it into a random vote, Ryuuzaki must guess the target's vote correctly. - If there is a Shinigami Eye user in the game, then they may select one player to inspect. Then, if that person has a special title (Ryuuzaki / Kira / 2nd Kira, etc), the Shinigami Eye User will find out that information. - If Kira was not caught, then Kira (If more than 2, they will decide among each other) gets to decide who to remove from the game. Kira will choose whether or not to kill a player and will IM the GM with their choice and an optional method of death. The selected player will be eliminated. - Process repeats itself until all Kira (if more than one) is caught or the total number of Kira outnumbers the players by over 1/2.
-Minority Rule- - Spoiler:
Recommended Number of Players: 3+. The more, the better.
This game is based off of Liar Game in which a question is asked, and players must answer with votes of either 'Yes' or 'No'. When the votes are counted, whoever is the minority will advance on, while everyone in the majority is eliminated. The game continues until a minority cannot be made (1 or 2 players remaining).
- The GM makes a list of the players and rolls a die to determine who will ask a question / statement that can be answered by 'Yes' or 'No'. - After the question or statement is asked, players will have 2 minutes to decide their vote. For a vote to count, a player must IM the GM or type it in the chat with quotes surrounding the message. - Although the goal is to become the minority, discussion with other players is recommended. - After the 2 minutes are up, whoever that hasn't voted with be eliminated. Finally, the votes are counted up. - If there is one of the two replies that contain more people, then that side is the majority and is eliminated. The game continues until 1 or 2 players is left.
Example:
-6 players, GM rolls Player 2 to ask a question- Player 2: This is a demo of the game. GM: A question has been asked! Everyone has 2 minutes to IM me your vote or post your vote here in quotes. Player 1 IM: No Player 3 IM: Yes Player 4: "Yes" GM: 1 minute warning! Player 2 IM: No GM: 30 second warning! GM: 10 second warning! Player 5 IM: No GM: Time is up! Player 6 did not vote and will be eliminated! Here are the votes. GM: "No" "Yes" "Yes" "No" "No" GM: Yes is the minority! Because there can't be a minority between 2 people, player 3 and 4 win!

Yet another game based off of Liar Game. In this situation, there are two countries which will soon by at war. The players are all traders who have gained a large amount of money stored up in their enemy country and it is their job to try to smuggle that money before war begins and the country claims their money. Smuggling is the only resort, for legal transaction will be too suspicious and slow. The goal is to smuggle as much money as possible from the enemy country to your funding and trick any inspectors who will try to stop you.
General Information:
- First off, the players are separated into two teams. - All players possess $400 million in the opposing country and should try to retrieve it back. They also have $100 million in their own funds. - Each team will select a smuggler and an inspector. The smuggler will try to pass their money over to their own country, while the inspector will try to stop that. The smugglers and inspectors do not have to be the same people each time. - The smuggler will IM the GM on the amount of money they wish to smuggle if any, and then both the smuggler and inspector will be invited to a second chat room. - For more information on turns, check below sections. - After a turn has passed, the teams switch roles. Both of these turns count as 1 round. - After a designated number of rounds (default is 20), the entire game is over. - The sum of a team's funding determines their victory. Any leftover money that was not smuggled is split evenly among the team members of the opponent team. The team with the higher amount wins 50 points. - Finally, $400 million will be subtracted from each member's funds. If the resulting amount is negative, they do not get points. If the resulting amount is positive, that player gets 50 points. - At the end of the round, players with 0 points lose, players with 50 points neither win nor lose, and players with 100 points win.
About the Smuggler:
- Smugglers may smuggle anywhere between 0 to $100 million each turn. Any attempts to smuggle money exceeding $100 million will not work. - Smugglers may not smuggle money amounts that contain a ones, tens, or hundreds digit. If this is done, then the money automatically is rounded to the nearest thousand. - Successfully smuggled money will be transferred to the smuggler's funding on hand.
About the Inspector:
- The inspector is there to determine whether there is smuggling taking place and to stop it. - If the inspector suspects smuggling, they should declare 'Doubt' as well as a money value that they suspect in a second chat room provided by the GM while the smuggler is also present. If they don't suspect any smuggling, they should say 'Pass'. - If 'Doubt' is declared, half of the amount declared will be taken from the inspector's own funds as a security. The inspector may not declare any amount that requires a security that exceeds the amount of money in the smuggler's funds.
Smuggling Cases:
Case 1: If 'Pass' is declared, the smuggler may keep whatever amount of money they might have smuggled. If $100 million is smuggled, the smuggler keeps it all and if nothing is smuggled, the smuggler gets nothing. Case 2: If the inspector declares 'Doubt' but the smuggler did not smuggle anything, the smuggler receive the security money. For example, declaring $100 million will result in the smuggler gaining $50 million. Case 3: If the inspector declares 'Doubt' and the smuggler's amount is equal or less than the amount declared, then they get to keep the money that was smuggled as well as their security money returned. For example, declaring $100 million when the smuggler's amount is $50 million will mean that the inspector keeps that $50 million. Case 4: If the inspector declares 'Doubt' and the smuggler's amount is greater than the amount declared, then the smuggler keeps the money as well as the inspector's security money. For example, declaring $50 million when the smuggler's amount is $100 million will mean that the smuggler keeps that $100 million and takes $25 million from the inspector.
